Week 12: MTV's Cribs

This week Tania and I have decided to dedicate our free time to making EJ's bed "the happening place to sleep".  Tania had the great idea to make bumpers, bed sheets and a skirt for the crib.  Naturally we were then led to the magical world of JoAnn's to pick out nothing but the coolest fabrics for out little guy.  My requirements for the fabrics were that they have to be cool, colorful and something fun that will stimulate Elijah's attention while he is in there.  In other words I just want him to be able to amuse himself with his surroundings.  I will whole heartedly admit that Tania did the majority of the work and I tried my best to help out where needed.

Here are a few more pix to show the finished product.  Tania and I were very satisfied with the outcome, but most importantly, Elijah seems to really like his new bed.  Now comes the fun part of slowly transitioning him from his bassinet to his crib.  Lately we have been having him take all of his naps there throughout the day.

Tania also wanted to make EJ a mobile.  That is what I like to call "the hanging thingy".  She showed me tons of different examples of all kinds of "hanging thingy's".  Again... I got to help pick out the style and some cool scrap-booking paper.  While Tania made the spheres I built the frame and got em all strung together.

Needless to say...EJ likes the "hanging thingy".
