Father and Sons Outing

At last...I finally got to take Elijah to his very first father and sons outing. I wanted to take him last year but he was only 6 months old at the time. We got there early enough to snag a prime spot for our tent under some trees. Eli had a lot of fun trying to help me set up our tent.

As soon as we got things set up Eli was so giddy running around in the tent.
Even though he was the youngest there, Elijah had such a blast running around and playing with all the other boys. He couldn't stay in one spot for more than 5 minutes. Anything the other kids were doing Eli wanted to do it too, especially playing with the fire and running up and down the whole campsite. Elijah's normal bedtime is usually around 7pm. He was so excited to experience all new things that he didn't fall asleep until about 10:30. But when he finally crashed he crashed big time. He slept all through the night amidst other peoples talking and kids crying. I never realized how much he rolled around too. Here is a picture of him during the night.
Morning breakfast wasn't the usual pancakes, eggs and sausage. Instead we got gogurt, apples and water. Eli loved eating his daily banana and watching everyone.

After packing up camp we attempted to go on a little hike with a few of the other guys to a nearby waterfall. Eli got distracted at a playground on the way there and never made it beyond that point. We ended up just driving there.
We ended up hiking around and throwing rocks into the pond. EJ wanted to go swimming and kept trying to get into the water.
All this hiking, eating and playing got EJ so tuckered out that he fell asleep before we even made it out of the parking lot.
Here's a fun video of EJ to enjoy.
